The Company Gottstein GmbH & Co. KG refines carefully selected new wool in its purest form into seamless felt comfort slippers in the old tradition. In addition, the finest fulling fabrics are produced directly in Tyrol from the highest quality wool yarns. Already in the 3rd generation, the wool manufactory supplies selected shoe retailers and supplies leading special mail order companies with the highest quality slippers. Now it was decided to build a new company headquarters.
CONCEPT
The basic idea was to develop a building in sustainable timber construction with a load-bearing concrete core. The new building was designed on an open forest property in the municipality of Haiming and is intended to create an overall ensemble between the existing production hall and the newly developed company headquarters. A strict axis grid defines the building and allows the building to be expanded in the future. Via a spacious entrance/exhibition hall, the user reaches the upper floor where the workplaces are housed. Generous air spaces inside the building allow the outside to merge with the inside and carry light down to the basement.
COLOR CONCEPT AND MATERIALIZATION
In the spirit of sustainability, the concept relies on the materials wood and concrete. In addition, these should characterize the appearance of the new company headquarters both inside and outside. A clear and harmonious use of materials is the basic idea of the concept and creates a pleasant and above all bright atmosphere for visitors and employees.
