6020 INNSBRUCK
ROECK ARCHITECTS
In keeping with its Alpine surroundings, the building is located at the bottom of the valley - like a monolithic block of rock. The crystalline design of the concrete outer shell underlines this impression. Only when walking around the building does it become apparent that it is a building with an inner courtyard, the entrance to which is emphasized by light falling in strips.
The new building of the base in Oetz is divided into two slender, parallel structures, which are functionally connected to each other by a generous, concrete roof. This flying roof enables the approximately 35 stationed employees to carry out loading and unloading activities in any weather, as well as to reach both parts of the building without getting their feet wet.
