6020 INNSBRUCK
ROECK ARCHITECTS
The interesting thing about this planning task was that no visible changes could be made to the outside world. The parents of the client live on the ground floor. The attic storey, which is to be newly developed, is accessed via the existing threshing floor driveway. Daylight enters the interior of the building through skylights and generous glazing. In order not to change the character of the farmhouse, vertically arranged wooden slats of the glazing were introduced. The existing structure meant that rooms that flowed into one another were arranged on different levels. Internal glazing allows visual connections between different areas.
