The two-storey, bright main cube stands alone in the slightly sloping forest property of the Tyrolean municipality of Mils. Two streams border the property on both sides.  As soon as you drive up to the house and take a closer look around it, the differentiated sculptural structure of the building becomes apparent to the viewer. The dark entrance area with anteroom, the dressing room and the guest toilet protrude from the two-story main cube and form a protective angle to the garden.

The living area with kitchen, storage rooms and dining area, which opens onto the garden through floor-to-ceiling glazing, extends lengthways from this conservative, slightly lowered structure, which is separated by a clear atrium. Above this is the upper floor with the private rooms, which, due to their height and the right-angled twisting, offer a panoramic view of the natural surroundings. A centrally located foyer with a deep bay window and a wonderful view of the surrounding Tyrolean nature invite you to linger. This bay window protrudes alone and seems natural from the otherwise very clear north facade. To the south, movable wooden elements shade the bedrooms and screen off views.  

Inside, the clear exposed concrete walls and ceiling surfaces contrast with local oak wood and natural steel. A two-story mullion and transom facade, also made of local oak, forms a conclusion to the extra-high terrace in the outdoor area and complements the material canon of the abstract spatial sculpture.  

The use of oriental patterns on the building creates a wonderful play between light and shadow inside the building just before dusk. A monolithic white tiled stove acts as a threshold between the living and dining area and provides warmth and atmosphere on cold days.
