ROECK ARCHITECTS

The new company headquarters of the Tyrolean construction company Fröschl is being built on Haller Brockenweg.  The positive economic development of the company made an investment of around 25 million euros necessary. The new Fröschl house is particularly characterized by its sustainability: The focus is on climate-protecting solid construction, concrete core activation, facade heat storage and a photovoltaic system.

The monolithic structure designed by the architects in Innsbruck is made entirely of exposed concrete. The window reveals, which open differently to the outside, allow additional light to enter the office areas and reinforce the plastic structure of the building. The building has a ground floor with three upper floors above it. Two additional floors will be built in the southern area.

The individual Fröschl departments with a total of 177 workplaces on the upper floors are accessed via the foyer in the south. This means that there are 59 more jobs than at the current company headquarters. A planted meeting zone is in front of the entrance area.

The size of the retail space specified on the ground floor enables spacious, light-flooded, planted inner courtyards on the office floors, which are accessed via floor-to-ceiling, glazed lounge areas and corridors, allowing the building to breathe from the inside out. This free area also opens upwards, so that generous amounts of light can fall into all office floors. The offices, meeting rooms and lounges are arranged around these inner courtyards. Each workplace is individually illuminated and ventilated via window openings.
