ROECK ARCHITECTS
The garden of an existing house in Innsbruck was to be specially subdivided and sold. A development on the small property in Innsbruck was only possible through a closed construction method with the seller.
The central design idea was to form a large sunken inner courtyard behind a gate at street level. The residential building is accessed from this traffic-calmed square. Inside and outside stairs connect the living floor. The bedroom floor is reached via a cantilevered staircase, and then the attic with a terrace in front of it via a spiral staircase. Daylight can fall through this ceiling opening into the entrance floor.
